FITness Mentors & Leaders

The Fleet Feet Sports FITness Mentors and Leaders are the heart of our programs and the reason why people are able to meet their goals in a fun, welcoming environment.  Our mentors and leaders are volunteers and we are always looking for mentors and leaders for our programs.

Requirements

All Mentors and Leaders are responsible for leading stretches before and after workouts.

All Mentors and Leaders are responsible for knowing the routes prior to each workout (these will be emailed weekly by a Coach).

All Mentors and Leaders are responsible for setting the pace at the workout.

All Mentors and Leaders are responsible for treating everyone the same in a welcoming environment.

All Mentors and Leaders MUST wear shoes purchased at Fleet Feet Sports Roanoke at all workouts.

All Mentors and Leaders MUST attend the pre-run meeting.

All Mentors and Leaders MUST wear the Mentor/Leader shirt provided at workouts.

Mentors and Leaders will direct participants to Coaches for assistance with injuries, gear questions and training tips.

WHO WE NEED - Session #2: August 27 - October 15

No Boundaries: meets on Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 8am; we are looking for two Mentors/leaders to lead each of the following groups.  Mentors/leaders must be able to attend as many workouts as possible (must be able to attend at least 13 of the workouts).

NOBO 1.0 Run/Walk (2:1 intervals): 1-2 miles - Randy Blair
NOBO 1.0 Walk: 1-2 miles - Brad Wirt

NOBO 2.0 Run/Walk (2:1 intervals): 2-3 miles - Leigh Ann Murray & Jeannie Wilde
NOBO 2.0 Walk: 2-3 mile - Simone Knowles & Brandon Comer

NOBO 3.0 Run: 3-6 miles - Brian Ripple & Breanna Perdue
NOBO 3.0 Run/Walk (2:1 Intervals): 3-6 miles - Wendy Shafer & Sarah Urbanski
NOBO 3.0 Walk: 3-6 miles  - Catherine Case & Todd King

RUN-540 Distance: meets on Saturdays at 7:30am; we are looking for two Mentors/Leaders to lead each of the following groups.  Mentors/Leaders must be able to attend as many workouts as possible (must be able to attend at least 7 of the workouts).

9-10 Minute Pace Leader Brie Jackson

11-12 Minute Pace Leader Tom Mantey & Richard Ha
