Karen Bolton

I am so grateful to Fleet Feet for choosing me to be a part of this fabulous team! I am a retired Roanoke City Schools elementary teacher, living in Botetourt near Catawba with my husband, three cats and two dogs. I have three adult children and one granddaughter.

I began running for fitness in 1999, then discovered road racing. I’ve run races from the mile to the marathon. (Actually once did 100 meters, but that’s another story) I have had the wonderful privilege of being a mentor with Fleet Feet’s No Boundaries Path to 5K program for the past 5 years.

I am slow and a klutz. Most recently, I fell and fractured my wrist and elbow trying to show off during a relay race, then ran the Richmond Marathon three weeks later. Yes, I’m THAT person."
